Jo Miles (they/them) writes short stories and novels across the spectrum of speculative fiction, featuring vivid characters, quirky world-building, and a sense of hope.
Their books include the Infinite Pantry cozy fantasy series, the Gifted of Brennex space opera trilogy, and genre-bending novella The Final Chronicle of Yeneh. Jo’s short fiction has appeared in numerous places, including Lightspeed, F&SF, Analog, Escape Pod, and Uncanny. Their story “The Longest Season in the Garden of the Tea Fish” in Strange Horizons was nominated for a WSFA Small Press Award. Jo is a graduate of the Viable Paradise and Taos Toolbox writers’ workshops.
Jo lives in Maryland. When they’re not writing, they help nonprofits use the internet to save the world, tend their garden, drink lots of tea, and serve the whims of their two cats.
